- SLMU is the successor of the SLMO24N and the SLMO8N .
- SLMU together with CMAe is the successor to the SLCN .
- The SLMU is supported from the OpenScape Business SW Version V2R3.
- For EMC reasons, the front panel cover is also required. The module has 24 ports with a total of 48 B channels.

Each SLMUC card requires a CMAe module as of issue 4
The new SLMU module in conjunction with the CMAe module temporarily only supports line lengths of up to 800 meters between the SLMU and the base stations.
An 8-channel module will no longer be available in the future.
For OpenScape Business systems with SW version V1, an upgrade to SW version V2 is required for extensions with SLMU modules.
The operation of the phased out BS3 base station is technically not prevented.
In case of problems with BS3, these are to be exchanged for base stations from the current portfolio.
Mixed interfacing of base stations and TDM phones to an SLMUC is not supported.
